HI. I'M R1SER. I BUILT HiR1SER BECAUSE I GENUINELY LOVE HELPING PEOPLE AND WATCHING THEM RISE. AFTER DECADES IN BUSINESS — SURROUNDED BY SO MANY INSPIRATIONAL PEOPLE, STARTING MY WORK LIFE AT THE VERY BOTTOM AND WORKING MY WAY THROUGH ALMOST EVERY ROLE A BUSINESS CAN THROW AT YOU — I REALISED THAT EVERYTHING I HAD BEEN THROUGH HAD QUIETLY BEEN PREPARING ME FOR THIS.

I WAS BORN INTO BUSINESS AND SURROUNDED BY MUSIC.

In 1978, my parents started a music wholesale company. I came along the following year. My brother and I grew up with amplifiers and guitars in our bedrooms — and we had already travelled the world for business before I was six years old. Looking back, I had no idea how rare and special that was. Everything we had as a family came from my father's relentless work ethic and his ability to make calm, calculated decisions under pressure. My uncle, my brother, my father's partner and every single staff member who showed up loyally year after year — they all played a part in building something genuinely incredible. I am eternally grateful to every one of them.

As a kid I was folding account statements and checking guitars on school holidays. Business wasn't something I studied. It was just life. When I left high school I knew it was game on. After a short stint in retail I joined the family business full time in 1997. My dad made sure I started at the bottom — sweeping floors, doing the bins, unloading containers alongside everyone else. No special treatment. I wouldn't have had it any other way. When I started there were 13 full time staff. By the time I left in 2019 we had grown to as many as 65. Being the youngest meant I always had something to prove. I worked hard to earn the respect of the team and the industry. That experience shaped everything about how I work and how I treat people today.

In 2019, after completing a feasibility study for a friend's business, I realised it was time. Everything I had learned — about launching brands, building teams, working in a business from the ground up, travelling the world for trade — had quietly been preparing me for something of my own. That year, On Earth Entertainment and Stars on Earth were born. Stars on Earth was built around something close to my heart — live performing arts for people with disabilities. Then COVID hit and Melbourne went into lockdown. I wasn't going to stop.

For 38 consecutive weeks we ran live concerts online from my home studio during COVID, up to 100 people on screen at a time, every single week. Watching people with autism and severe anxiety and their families get up and perform — and just light up — is something I feel truly humbled to have created. By the time Melbourne reopened, we had 65 clients ready to go and when I handed over the keys at EOFY 2022, STARS ON EARTH had 9 full time staff, an impressive balance sheet and we were ready to scale this business domestically. However, from there after a few setbacks, I found myself in a brand new space, a world they call WEB3. A place not spoken about very fondly but honestly the people I met in this space were very much aligned and are the people who are shaping the world in which we are heading. Before you knew it and without my prior knowledge, I found myself LIVE on a PODCAST.
